Job description

Sitting within our Tax Practice, the Tax Analyst supports the placement and management of tax insurance policies for corporate clients, private equity firms, and professional advisors involved in complex transactions. The Tax analyst works closely with brokers, underwriters, tax advisors, and clients to analyze tax exposures, prepare underwriting submissions, and support the negotiation and placement of tax insurance policies.
  • Attend calls with prospective clients and existing clients, take detailed notes, and track follow-up items for potential opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the tax insurance pipeline in Monday.com.
  • Manage and organize the master file for tax insurance placements and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in educating producers on the tax insurance product, including participating in introductory calls and conducting research on prospective opportunities.
  • Review initial submission materials and provide preliminary comments and feedback.
  • Conduct tax and transaction-related research in support of potential opportunities.
  • Draft follow-up diligence questions based on initial submissions.
  • Prepare submission packages for distribution to insurance markets.
  • Track non-binding indication letters (NBILs) received from insurers and prepare summary comparisons.
  • Draft internal and client-facing summaries of NBILs, including recommendations regarding market participation and structure.
  • Assist with drafting and marking up tax insurance policy language.
  • Draft emails and other correspondence to clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate with CAC’s Legal team on surplus lines and regulatory considerations relating to tax insurance policies.
  • Assist in drafting tax insurance articles, thought leadership pieces, and client alerts.
  • Support updates to the Tax Practice’s marketing materials and presentations.
  • Provide day-to-day operational and analytical support to the Tax Practice, including being available for calls, meetings, and transaction support as needed.
  • Contribute to improving team processes, organization, and overall efficiency.
