Casual Catering Assistant - Lancaster & Morecambe
Good school meals depend on a reliable team. As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will help prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and ensure pupils have a safe and positive lunchtime experience.
Lancashire County Council’s School Catering Service provides more than 60,000 meals each day across over 500 schools. You will play an important part in helping this service run smoothly.
About the role
This is a busy, active and hands-on role.
You will work closely with your colleagues, but you will also need to use your initiative and take responsibility for completing your tasks.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
