Our client is a Jersey-based performance marketing agency that helps businesses scale through paid advertising, high-converting landing pages, and performance-driven creative. The team supports a diverse portfolio of businesses by developing tailored marketing strategies and creative content that deliver measurable results.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and highly skilled Video Editor who can transform raw footage into engaging short-form content for organic social media and paid advertising.

This role requires more than technical editing ability. The ideal candidate can independently research different clients, understand their brand and audience, and develop a distinct editing style for each account. They should know how to capture attention, maintain viewer engagement, and tailor the level of production to the purpose of each video.

The Video Editor will work on content for both the agency’s clients and its own brand. They will receive briefs, scripts, talking-head footage, B-roll, voiceovers, and reference materials, but will be expected to take creative ownership rather than rely on detailed, step-by-step direction.

This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Short-Form Video Editing: Transform raw footage, B-roll, voiceovers, and stock assets into engaging 20–60-second videos for Meta ads and social media. end-of-video call-to-action sequences.

  • Creative Ownership: Work independently from high-level briefs and reference materials, making confident creative decisions with minimal direction or hand-holding.

  • Client and Brand Research: Research each client’s business, audience, positioning, and existing content before editing to ensure the creative direction is relevant and aligned with the brand.

  • Audience Engagement: Apply strong hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, visual changes, and calls to action that capture attention and encourage viewers to keep watching.

  • Quality & Collaboration: Maintain high editing standards, communicate effectively with the internal team, and complete revisions promptly.

  • Workflow Management: Manage project stages and deadlines through Monday.com or a similar platform.

  • Motion Graphics & Animation: Create animated infographics, logo animations

  • Trend Awareness: Keep edits current with what performs on TikTok and Instagram, from caption styling to hook structure.

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven experience editing short-form content for organic social media and paid advertising

  • Strong portfolio of engaging, high-quality video content

  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or comparable professional editing software

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, pacing, and audience engagement

  • Ability to differentiate between organic social content and direct-response advertising

  • Excellent attention to detail and English communication skills

  • Highly detail-oriented, goal-oriented, decisive, conscientious, and dependable

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling

  • Previous experience working in a marketing agency or across multiple brands

  • Familiarity with Meta advertising and direct-response creative

  • Experience creating content for YouTube or longer-form platforms

  • Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project-management tools
