HR Specialist 

Location: Atlanta Office (4 days working from the office + 1 day working remotely) 

What You’ll Do At Elekta 

As an HR Specialist supporting the Americas region, you will help deliver reliable HR operations and a positive employee experience across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of HR, Americas, you will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, supporting HR processes, employee data, documentation, payroll coordination and policy administration. You will also partner with HR Business Partners and provide backup support for benefits administration when needed. 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, employment documentation and new hire orientation processes. 

  • Prepare and distribute offer documents, employment contracts and employee change letters. 

  • Process employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, organizational changes and terminations. 

  • Maintain accurate, secure employee records and complete data updates in Workday and related HR systems. 

  • Provide first-line support to employees and managers on HR policies, practices and processes, escalating complex matters appropriately. 

  • Coordinate employment verifications, documentation requests, leave tracking and absence administration. 

  • Provide accurate and timely employee change information to payroll and support payroll control activities. 

  • Produce standard HR reports, conduct data audits and support compliance activities. 

  • Maintain HR policies, templates and employee communications, and support required U.S. training administration. 

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and process HR department invoices in a timely manner. 

  • Support annual U.S. benefits open enrollment activities and provide backup support for benefits administration. 

  • Contribute to HR projects, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives across the Americas HR function. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience in HR administration, HR operations or an HR generalist role. 

  • Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding and other employee lifecycle processes. 

  • Experience using an HR information system; Workday experience is preferred. 

  • Exposure to payroll administration, employee data management and HR compliance activities. 

  • Ability to manage confidential information accurately and with sound judgment. 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

  • Clear, professional communication skills and a service-focused approach when supporting employees and managers. 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
