Daikin Applied is seeking a (TEMPORARY) Parts ID Document Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing, editing, and preparing customer-facing technical drawings for publication on the company's ecommerce platform. This role utilizes Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related documentation to locate, validate, and organize part drawings while ensuring proprietary and confidential information is removed prior to publication.  The specialist plays a key role in creating accurate, customer-facing documentation that supports parts identification and online ordering while maintaining document control standards and protecting company intellectual property. Location: Remote USA

What you will do: 

  • Review and edit technical drawings to remove proprietary, confidential, and non-customer-facing information
  • Use Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related documentation to identify, locate, and retrieve drawings associated with replacement parts
  • Prepare customer-friendly drawing files that support accurate parts identification and ordering
  • Verify drawing accuracy, legibility, and completeness before publication
  • Maintain document revision control and version history for all customer-facing documents
  • Upload, organize, and maintain drawings and related files within ecommerce and document management systems
  • Ensure published documentation complies with company standards for document control and intellectual property protection
  • Collaborate with Parts Identification, Product Support, and other cross-functional teams to resolve document discrepancies and clarify part information
  • Maintain organized electronic records and document repositories
  • Assist in developing and improving document control processes, standards, and procedures
  • Support ecommerce initiatives by ensuring timely availability of accurate customer-facing drawings and documentation

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in document control, product documentation, records management, or a related role.
  • Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), parts data, product documentation, or technical records.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • This will be a 6 month assignment with potential ability to go permanent
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in BA or BS from a credited university
  • Experience supporting ecommerce platforms, online parts catalogs, or product content management systems
  • Familiarity with document management systems and revision control processes
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings, exploded views, parts catalogs, or product documentation
  • Knowledge of service parts documentation
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements and intellectual property protection

  • MN based temporary employees are eligible for up to 48 hours of Sick and Safe time but is prorated based on their start date in the calendar year. Temporary workers in other locations vary by state policy. 

The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $30.00 - $33.65 an hour. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
