About the Role

Altera Digital Health - Paragon R&D is seeking a motivated Associate DevOps Engineer to support our internal development processes, tooling, environments, and AI use.

This is a hands-on role for an early-career engineer who wants to grow into the full and wide-ranging DevOps, Systems, and AI tech stack in Azure. You will work alongside a team of engineers to keep our pipelines healthy, maintain the environments our development teams depend on, and help the organization adopt AI tooling.

What You'll Do

  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for build and release automation
  • Maintain and provision development, test, and staging environments
  • Automate repetitive engineering tasks with PowerShell and other scripting
  • Help administer Windows Server infrastructure, patching, and Active Directory
  • Support containerized workloads using Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Assist in evaluating and rolling out AI development tooling across R&D
  • Troubleshoot pipeline, environment, and deployment issues, and document what you learn

Must Have

  • Basic knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
  • Experience or working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub)
  • Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Basic understanding of build systems (e.g., TFS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Basic understanding of deployment tooling (e.g., TFS, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy)
  • Programming or scripting experience, e.g., PowerShell
  • Container experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Basic domain administration skills (e.g., Windows Server, patching, Active Directory)
  • Experience working with AI CLIs (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex)
  • Strong logical aptitude and excellent communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of packaging tools (e.g., InstallShield, NuGet, npm)
  • Experience with SQL Server management (queries, deployments, permissions, DACPAC)
  • Knowledge of mobile app deployments to Google Play and/or the App Store
  • Understanding of Linux
  • Understanding of AI models, weights, and routing
