A Brief Overview

Manage, prioritize and provide counsel to all key activities and demands for the EVP and Business Leader. This role will help direct and develop process, projects and activities that lead to and support the growth of RGA's business in the assigned function. Partner with leaders to ensure the execution of all activities cross-functionally to drive future growth.


What you will do

  • Provide broad support to senior leadership, EVPs, and function leadership on a day-to-day basis. Prepare the EVP for all critical external and internal trips, speeches, meetings and other matters as they arise. Manage critical activities, prioritize demands, and provide counsel to the Leaders of assigned function on all areas of developed strategy.
  • Oversight of budget controls and total expense alignment, evaluates monthly reports for trending.
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team on all key events and communication, including, but not limited to, Quarterly Results/Board/Investor Day presentations, annual planning/goal setting, Employee Engagement action planning, etc.
  • Support business planning and risk management including; but not limited to budgeting, prioritization, efficiency/effectiveness review and workforce planning.
  • Build relationships across various stakeholders to enable the business to achieve its objectives and to ensure initiatives are executed as planned in a properly controlled manner
  • Assist in prioritization, implementation and measurement of key priorities, goals, and targets for the business
  • Lead and execute multiple, often quick-turnaround, small to large projects
  • Drive, manage, and support development of materials for team meetings and senior management business unit reviews


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Finance/Accounting, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or related field required
  • 7+ Years of experience in insurance/reinsurance field interfacing with and influencing senior /executive required
  • Highly collaborative with strong facilitation and listening skills required
  • Exceptional ability to organize thoughts and professionally developed presentations. required
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple concurrent projects, cyclical work flow and, demanding time frames required
  • People management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility required
  • Advanced level of research, analytical, and problem solving skills required
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received required
  • Change management skills required
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines required
  • Advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers to resolve issues/problems required

Compensation Range:

$66,740.00 - $94,800.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
