The Global Transfer of Technology Process Professional is responsible for driving the standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across HITACHI ENERGY Distribution Transformers global operations. This role involves defining best practices, developing new process technologies, and implementing robust solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Define, document, and standardize manufacturing processes globally, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices as well as making sure these are globally transferred to support capacity expansion projects.

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 principles to optimize manufacturing operations.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation, digital transformation, and the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies.

  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, production, quality teams and especially with our Global Platform Leaders to ensure seamless new product introductions and process validations&Develop and deliver training programs to manufacturing personnel on new processes, technologies, and improvement methodologies. Conduct process audits and performance analyses to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

  • Benchmark internal and external manufacturing processes to identify industry best practices and innovative solutions.

  • Manage complex process improvement & capacity expansion projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality management systems&Provide expert technical support and guidance to manufacturing sites worldwide on process-related issues.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field). Master's degree preferred.

  • Strong experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or continuous improvement roles within a global manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing significant manufacturing process improvements and transfer of technology projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable) & Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., MES, SCADA, AI/ML in manufacturing).

  • Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD/CAM tools, and statistical analysis software.

  • Excellent project management, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required (up to 30-50%).

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
