Job description

St John of God Health Care

Lead the Group Admissions team in delivering a high-performing, patient-centred admissions service, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all patient admissions processes.

Playing a key role in shaping the patient experience, the Team Leader Group Admissions delivers a consistently positive patient experience, by ensuring patients receive a patient centred and personalised service with admissions support line and completing patients' admissions. By leading a dedicated team, you will help create a seamless and positive journey for patients from their first point of contact through to admission.

The role is offered on a 6-month, part-time contract basis, working 24 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support a high-performing Admissions team to deliver exceptional patient service and operational excellence.

  • Oversee patient admissions, health fund checks, and patient portal support, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage patient support hotline activities and drive a seamless, patient-centred admissions experience.

  • Monitor workflows, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through performance management, training, and ongoing support.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and specialist practices to achieve admissions targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your skills and experience

You will bring substantial experience in admissions, administration, or healthcare services, along with a strong understanding of patient-centred care and the private health sector. Your ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and maintain exceptional attention to detail will enable you to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

A confident people leader, you will be skilled in coordinating, coaching, and developing team members while effectively managing competing priorities. You will possess strong computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and webPAS, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, quality service delivery, and operational excellence.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $88,501 to $90,256 (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation

  • Part-Time, 6-month contract, working 24 hours a week

  • Located at Perth CBD Kings Square office

  • 40% work from home option
