Job Description:

Work Location and Licensure: Massachusetts residency is not required, although proximity to Massachusetts or a surrounding state is preferred. Candidates must currently hold an active LICSW, LCSW, LISW or LMHC in at least one state, be eligible for Massachusetts licensure, and obtain the required Massachusetts license within the established timeframe after hire.

The Manager, Behavioral Health and Wellness will be responsible for the clinical and administrative supervision of the MA market behavioral health team and overall behavioral health operations.  Duties include evaluating and managing behavioral health clinicians and community health partners, responsible for the team’s contribution to decreased impactable total cost of care through high quality BH care focused on populations with complex needs, meeting quality goals during transitions of care, and ongoing innovation and process improvement around interventions.  This leader will partner with market nursing, operational and provider leadership  to foster operational excellence and achieve market goals and objectives, across all payor lines of business in the market.

Responsibilites:

  • Responsible for BH’s contribution to decreasing the overall cost of care for the Market’s population, through high quality BH care focused on populations with complex needs, transitions of care, and ongoing innovation and process improvement around interventions.

  • Responsible for monitoring panel size, key metrics, and overall productivity and effectiveness of BH team members.

  • Address market specific staffing differences and ensure all team members adhere to the CBH centralized  model expectations and requirements.

  • Serve as a qualified clinical supervisor for staff pursuing independent licensure (LICSW/LCSW). 

  • Collaborate and communicate with Vice President Market Medical Practice, operations leaders, and staff to identify challenges and opportunities and develop creative and innovative solutions for operational excellence.

  • Manage budget for the areas of accountability to ensure resource stewardship 

  • Lead Market BH quality and safety reviews and be responsible for adhering to quality metrics.

  • Participate in BH programming design and innovation with other BH Managers, as well as lead Market implementation of BH initiatives.

  • Available to work clinically and provide short term therapy, clinical support, and crisis intervention as needed based on staffing changes.

  • Create an environment for high workforce engagement; onboard, coach, set expectations, conduct performance appraisals, provide career development, succession planning, corrective action and recognition for BH staff.

  • Respond to pages during certain working hours for urgent BH escalations

  • Assist with initial and ongoing BH related training of Outreach Specialists, Community Health Partners, and Behavioral Health Specialists

Work Experience:

  • 5-years post Master’s Degree; 3+ years of behavioral health management experience

  • Behavioral Health leadership (e.g.,substance use disorders and serious mental illness); Business Operations

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work

  • Active LICSW, LCSW, LISW,LMHC or equivalent independent license  in the State(s) practicing

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is: 

$97,000.00 - $128,000.00 Annual
