Job Summary

Responsible for executing the HealthSpring Supplemental Benefits (HSB) broker sales strategy across local agencies, directly contracted agents, and FMO partners through relationship management, training, sales support, member retention, and business growth initiatives. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with broker and agency leadership, providing market insights, sales data, product education, and operational updates that support informed selling decisions and drive distribution growth.

Serves as a key partner in expanding HSB sales through targeted broker engagement strategies, agency development, recruiting support, and market-facing activities. Works closely with two HSB Regional Vice Presidents, supports virtual and in-person sales presentations, tracks campaign performance, and collaborates closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, and leadership to identify opportunities for growth and process improvement while ensuring compliance with all applicable marketing and broker engagement requirements.

As a newly created role, the Virtual Broker Sales Representative will help shape and influence best practices, sales strategies, and partner engagement approaches for the HSB business. Success in this position requires adaptability, creativity, and comfort operating in an evolving environment where priorities, processes, and reporting structures may continue to develop. The ideal candidate brings strong Medicare Supplement and/or Senior Health Life (SHL) experience, a proven ability to build and grow FMO and broker relationships, and a track record of driving sales results through innovative market development and distribution strategies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree and 4 years health insurance sales experience OR Master Degree with 2 years health insurance sales experience OR 8 years health insurance sales experience

  • Experience managing broker and/or field sales staff

  • Experience in meeting and/or exceeding sales goals

  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry, the producer community and Consumer Markets products

  • Marketing skills

  • Consultative skills

  • Training skills Interviewing and selection skills

  • Verbal and written communications skills including interpersonal skills, building relationships, developing and facilitating presentations and interviewing

  • Knowledge and skills of PC applications such as Microsoft office and databases

  • Possess an active department of insurance license from the state of residence or reciprocity

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Medicare products (Including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) and Medicare Supplement products)

  • Adherence to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and procedures · Customer features, benefits and Medicare & Medicaid knowledge preferred

  • Experience with Medicare Supplement (Med Supp), Senior Health Life (SHL), and/or supplemental health insurance products.

  • Experience working with brokers, agencies, independent agents, and FMO distribution partners.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a newly established role, including creating processes, identifying best practices, and implementing innovative sales approaches.

  • Proven adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments with evolving priorities, organizational structures, and business needs.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range

$77,400.00 - $116,000.00
