Payment Posting Manager

Become an Assembler! We are looking for a Payment Posting Manager to join our Physician RCM division. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the VP, Physician RCM

What You Will Do

  • Lead, train, and supervise the payment posting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of electronic and manual payments.
  • Oversee the download and posting of insurance and patient payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and balance daily, weekly, and monthly payment postings across the team.
  • Review and approve client monthly spreadsheets and reporting for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely closure of folders and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Oversee the handling of denials and aged claims, ensuring team members are working within established timelines.
  • Establish and monitor productivity and quality standards for the payment posting team; conduct performance reviews and provide coaching as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex payment posting issues.
  • Collaborate with RCM Account Managers and other departments to address client needs and resolve discrepancies.
  • Lead and participate in department meetings and other general staff meetings.
  • Other tasks and projects as needed.

What it Takes to Join the Team

  • 5+ years of payment posting experience, including 3+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of billing, insurance practices, and payment posting procedures.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team in a healthcare RCM or billing environment preferred.
  • Experience using NextGen Enterprise Practice Management is required.  
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage client relationships professionally.
  • The ability to work independently as well as lead and support a team environment.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.

Salary Range$70,000—$90,000 USD

Compensation for this role is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The expected salary range for this position reflects these considerations and may vary accordingly. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in company bonus programs. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
