Job Description Summary

The Dropship and AIT Delivery Process Owner is responsible for managing consignment drop shipment operations, driving on-time delivery, reducing aged in-transit inventory, and ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers and internal teams. This role owns process standardization and continuous improvement efforts by documenting procedures, implementing FLIGHT DECK principles, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost. The position also provides training and support for team members and suppliers, analyzes inventory and delivery performance, and delivers insights to leadership to strengthen overall supply chain execution. The ideal candidate brings supply chain or manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own and improve the drop ship and AIT delivery process for consignment inventory, ensuring material moves efficiently from suppliers to the point of use with strong delivery performance and reduced aged in-transit inventory.
  • Review current standard work, procedures, and process documentation; identify gaps; and drive improvements through clear operating procedures, work instructions, and standard work templates.
  • Monitor consignment shipment activity and inventory flow, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, issue resolution, and accurate execution.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between suppliers, procurement, logistics, production, and manufacturing teams to resolve delivery issues and maintain smooth daily operations.
  • Lead the onboarding and offboarding of suppliers participating in consignment drop ship programs, ensuring process compliance and a smooth transition into standard operating practices.
  • Analyze shipment, inventory, and delivery data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance, reduce cost, and increase process reliability.
  • Generate and communicate performance reporting and operational insights to support management decision-making and drive accountability across the process.
  • Support and strengthen team execution by providing training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance on drop ship processes, standard work, and best practices.
  • Manage assigned contracted resources and help coordinate work priorities to support delivery and process objectives.
  • Maintain and improve the Supply Chain Standard Work hub for Integrated Manufacturing, ensuring documentation is current, usable, and aligned to operating needs.
  • Participate in team operating rhythms and contribute to solving cross-functional operational problems, using sound judgment, data, and collaboration to drive decisions and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Apply continuous improvement and FLIGHT DECK principles in a transactional environment, with emphasis on problem solving, standard work, respect for people, and process discipline.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing experience, or GE Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience
     

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in sourcing, buying, procurement, supply chain, or delivery operations
  • Strong ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
  • Experience documenting processes, managing projects or programs, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and process performance metrics
  • Experience with Smartsheet required or strongly preferred
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • Ability to train, coach, and influence others across teams and functions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and improve how work gets done
  • Demonstrates humility, transparency, collaboration, and a strong commitment to results

“This role will require in-person attendance for New Hire Orientation on Day 1”

The base pay range for this position is 100,000.00 - 133,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.  This posting is expected to close on September 14, 2026.
