Job Summary

Summary

Responsible for providing essential support to the nursing staff and delivering direct patient care to patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Essential Functions
-Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

-Provide basic care and comfort, including feeding and repositioning patients.

-Help with patient intake and discharge procedures, including preparing rooms and providing comfort measures.

-Collect and document patient information, including intake and output, and assist with specimen collection as needed.

-Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and care plans.

-Document patient care activities, observations, and changes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
