Job Description:

The Senior Technologist is accountable to the Senior Manager, Americas Technology Deployment for delivery of field trial managment and new business development support.
The primary purpose of this role is to lead projects and provide technical support for field trials, new business development activies, and product claims.

Key Accountabilities 

• Ensure delivery of "central" technical support to all product areas, including:

    - Product, application, specification, formulation, and raw material interchange advice to technology teams supporting trials

    - Input to customer account teams for tenders affecting multiple countries, supporting OEM approval renewals

    - Management of raw material shortages, regulatory or compliance issues affecting multiple countries

    - Resolution of customer issues escalated by Technology Deployment Hubs

• Manage regular field trial issues, fluid management, and engage with sites to ensure proper execution

• Develop effective communication on technology progress, claims capabilities, and potential new product needs / opportunities.

• Build networks and encourage knowledge sharing with subject matter experts to facilitate continuous improvement

• Provide technical leadership via coaching less experienced colleagues

• Support quality incidents and provide leadership for cross-multiple CLT incidents

• Provide input to Product Development based on technical trends, customer issues, performance changes to generate value for BP

Requirements

• Science or engineering degree or equivalent

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

• Experience in lubricant development, formulation modification/support in specialization

• Broad knowledge of BP's lubricant products, composition, manufacture, and application

• Understanding of interfaces and drivers within business across sales, marketing, supply chain, product development, and research within Castrol teams

• Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge

How much do we pay (Base)? ($106,000 - $170,000(Minimum & Maximum))
