Summary of Position

The Case Coordinator I, EMS is responsible to support aspects of the Expert Medical Services (EMS) provided to TDOC members to ensure

quality and timely case completion. The coordinator supports the care team nurse and provider on a case. The Coordinator researches and

verifies physician referral information and is be a resource to the member and the members’ family for case updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Case management (95%)

  • Collaborate with providers to prioritize case management
  • Manage, organize and update case related information using case management system.
  • Ensure clear, accurate, and thorough case documentation in the case management system following prescribed and
  • documented processes.
  • Collect, process, manage medical records relevant to each case.
  • Provide regular case updates to physicians, nurses, members and/or leaders.
  • Provide consistent and effective monitoring of email and faxes via personal and group email accounts, taking appropriate
  • action in a timely manner.
  • Perform all pertinent quality checks and investigations of assigned cases applying critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency throughout the case life.
  • Support member satisfaction by delivering outstanding service, ensuring the highest quality and timeliness for all outgoing
  • reports and communications.
  • Think creatively to prevent and mitigate case delays.
  • Research specific treatment and procedural availability to identify physicians appropriate for referral aligning to each
  • members’ clinical condition, geographic location, and preferences.
  • Schedule member appointments with internal clinical staff.
  • Prepare and deliver member facing reports and communications timely, accurately and ensuring high quality presentation.
  • Participate in meetings and special projects or assignments as needed.

  • Proficient in technology including software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Qualifications Preferred for Position

  • Post secondary diploma/degree preferred in health or business related field
  • Experience in clinical office or hospital is a PLUS
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Proficient in technology including software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meeting deadlines related to case and team goals.
  • Deliver on the Teladoc Health corporate values in all interactions and work performance.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, clearly and in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

The base salary range for this position is $24/hr.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

During your first year of service, you will accrue 5.84 hours of PTO for each bi-weekly pay period. In addition, you will receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only. If you are applying for a part-time role, your recruiter can provide additional details.
