Job Description:

Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for talented Site Security Managers to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the daily operations of a team of armed security officers at sensitive domestic U.S. sites.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working closely with both the Program Security Manager and Deputy Program Security Manager to deliver quality security program results at your assigned facility.

  • Leading/managing/overseeing a large security team at a classified, sensitive facility according to Customer expectations and Statement of Work/Work Order.

  • The ability to occasionally work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.

  • Managing your team who will control access to the facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, while ensuring all personnel entering the site have the proper credentials.

  • Maintaining or overseeing maintenance of weekly operating schedules and provide after-hours emergency response as required.

  • Overseeing responses to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during the day or night.

  • Overseeing the execution of the program management plan and Statement of Work/Work Order.

  • Meeting or exceeding cost-saving/efficiency & operational goals while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Providing technical guidance and oversight to subordinates within the work group according to customer requirements.

  • Monitoring productivity and proficiency to ensure that completed assignments meet the Customer’s required quality standards, budgets,and procedures.

  • Maintaining clear and concise work standards and goals, and provide training and development.

  • Ensuring that personnel are thoroughly trained in and observe all safety measures related to their work area according to Customer requirements.

  • Assuming regular armed Security Officer roles and responsibilities when required.

  • Facilitating communication and acting as point of contact for security matters at the specific location.

  • Responsible for coordinating communication between on-site security personnel, Program Management Office and Customer while ensuring compliance with security protocols, by actively monitoring site conditions, identifying potential risks, and facilitating timely responses to security incidents.

  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports and communicating those metrics to your leadership.

  • Supporting recruitment efforts when required.

  • Performing other ad hoc responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • College/University degree or program certificate with three years security related experience; OR high school diploma with six years security related experience and/or training.

  • Minimum of at least three years' experience in security management or program management, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role within the government contracting/security sector.

  • Proven track record in managing/leading security programs/projects, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and experience with advanced security technologies.

  • Experience supporting government programs/contracts within the Intelligence Community (IC).

  • Experience working in staffing, scheduling, and time and attendance reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally, effectively, and successfully with individuals at all levels of an organization, building strong working relationships, and communicating with confidence and respect.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and a working knowledge of company policies and procedures, and how to implement/apply them.

  • Able to obtain required armed security licenses/certifications from the domestic location you are assigned to.

  • Experience in providing mentoring/coaching in order to improve performance of those you manage/lead.

  • First Aid, CPR, and AED qualified/certified upon starting the job.

  • Must have an active and current TS/SCI with polygraph at the time of application.

  • The ability to remain flexible, adaptable, and pivot when changes are identified and implemented that impact your facility/team/environment.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Best security practices as they relate to critical security infrastructure.

  • Previous experience working with/managing a diverse workforce of government, contractor, and commercial employees.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Smartsheet.

  • Experience in preparing reports and delivering both informal and formal briefings to a wide audience.

  • Three years’ experience in either Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, commercial security, or the United States Armed Forces.

Security Clearance Requirement:
