Overview:

At Solus, we're continuing to invest in the technology, systems and platforms that help our people deliver great outcomes for our customers. As our business evolves, we're looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of change, working across projects, systems and teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities and help shape solutions that improve the way we work.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Technology and the wider business, translating requirements into clear, actionable outcomes that support successful delivery. Whether analysing processes, mapping workflows or supporting system improvements, you'll play a key role in helping Solus make the most of its technology investments.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you'll:

  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather, analyse and document functional, technical and process requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and workflow documentation.
  • Analyse existing systems, integrations and data flows to identify gaps, risks and opportunities.
  • Support the design and delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work alongside developers, architects, product owners and suppliers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Help coordinate testing activities, user acceptance testing and defect resolution.
  • Produce clear documentation to support change delivery and system adoption.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to gather insights and build consensus.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and enhance user experience.
  • Ensure solutions align with governance, security and data management requirements.
Qualifications:

We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, solving problems and working collaboratively with others.

You may have experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst or in a similar role where you've supported business or technology change.

You'll bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to gather information from a variety of stakeholders and turn it into clear requirements.
  • Experience documenting processes, workflows or system requirements.
  • Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A curious mindset and the ability to challenge constructively when needed.
  • An organised approach and attention to detail.
  • Experience working within projects, change initiatives or technology environments would be beneficial.

Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Visio, SQL or similar platforms is helpful but not essential. We value transferable skills, potential and a willingness to learn.
