Job Description
 

The LGT ILS development team is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to help develop and operate its in-house portfolio management platform. The team works closely with investment professionals and other business users and is responsible for the complete application lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation, deployment, operations, and ongoing improvement.

The primary project is a portfolio management system, consisting of:

  • .NET services integrating with internal and external data sources;

  • a .NET Web API back-end hosted on IIS and responsible for the system’s core operations;

  • complex reporting and business intelligence functionality implemented in Microsoft SQL Server: T-SQL, stored procedures;

  • A React/TypeScript front-end.

The team’s responsibilities include:

  • full-stack development across front-end, back-end, and database layers;

  • operating and supporting the applications in production, including troubleshooting and occasional Windows Server and IIS administration;

  • maintaining the team’s CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and development tooling;

  • working directly with business users to refine requirements and design solutions, while selecting technologies, libraries, and frameworks that fit the problem.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent;

  • At least five years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on skills in React, TypeScript, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, .NET, and C#;

  • Experience operating and supporting production applications, including CI/CD and deployment processes;

  • Experience with DevExpress/DevExtreme as well as familiarity with financial, trading, or reinsurance industry would be a strong asset;

  • Familiarity with AI and the critical yet efficient use of AI tools in daily development work is an advantage;

  • Strong verbal and written skills in English are a requirement; German language skills would be a plus;

  • As a proactive and independent person with a team spirit, you demonstrate a strong self-motivation to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
