Job description

Position Overview:

Our Immigration Consultants are responsible for helping corporations and private clients successfully complete the relevant immigration process so that they are able to live and work around the world. They develop a strong service relationship with clients upon contact to ensure that each case is handled expediently, accurately, and consistent with global standards. A key part of the role is to liaise directly with clients, understanding their situation and ensuring the appropriate solutions. Our Consultants use their commercial and professional expertise to provide prompt, high quality, tailored advice and guidance based on individual client needs. We help ensure clients obtain the relevant visas, work permits, visa extensions, settlement and passport and nationality papers in a smooth and stress-free manner.

Consultants enjoy the opportunity to regularly communicate with clients and relevant authorities by email or telephone, while also ensuring adherence to strict deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out volume casework for assigned countries, including case initiation, case assessment, provision of advice on applicable rules and procedures, case preparation and submission, monitoring progress and follow up on completion.
  • Acts as dedicated point of contact to clients, providing highly personalized services that meet client needs. Takes ownership of client relationship and provides clients with informed advice that reflects best practices and compliance. Conducts regular review of accounts, assists with training for corporate clients
  • Works closely and seamlessly with Network Partner/Attorney, where applicable, to support client needs – within casework to coordinate strategy, hold assessment and introductory calls, review materials and case product, align on processing and case updates
  • Monitoring application deadlines and completing assigned work within the appropriate timeframes.
  • Using sound judgement in assessing client risk and escalating potential issues to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Taking care to consider alternatives and delivering appropriate decisions with minimal senior management involvement.
  • Monitoring visa expiry dates and alerting the client appropriately.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate client records are established and maintained and that key correspondence and documentation is saved into the client e-file.
  • Ensuring that all work undertaken is in scope, is billed promptly on completion, and that additional fees are agreed in advance for additional services. Ensuring that use of the corporate credit card is recorded in an accurate and timely fashion and within the associated case, where applicable. Listens intently to the client needs to ensure that these needs are met and anticipating customer needs, offering pro-active advice. Remaining updated on industry events/circumstances that may be relevant to the client.
  • Communicating regularly with clients to build a strong relationship while focusing on business needs and ensuring that client service review meetings are held regularly, with formal agendas and presentations
  • Attend client meetings, telephone & video conferences/ webinars as required.
  • Identifying, pursuing and generating new business leads, ensuring that work is profitable.
  • Using exceptional organizational skills to meet or exceed customer expectations (including where SLAs are in place). Responding to email and telephone enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring that advice is comprehensive and accurate, managing expectations where needed and escalating issues promptly and appropriately.
  • Utilizing resources and researches complex cases/scenarios.
  • Recommending improvements in work procedures, policies or systems in area of assigned responsibility.
  • Global Diversity and Integrity Ensuring the client receives appropriate news updates and alerts.
  • To undertake all other reasonable duties as requested.

Teamwork

  • Personal involvement with seminars, webinars, internal and external networking events etc.
  • Guiding and training junior team members in identifying and assessing client risk.
  • Shows genuine interest and concern for colleagues.
  • Effectively manages individual/team time by prioritizing, identifying and addressing critical tasks, while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
  • Working with professionalism, honesty and integrity maintaining confidentiality at all times and to model the company values.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus 3 years of experience or Associate’s degree plus 5 years of experience in related field.

Working Condition and Location:

  • Office environment: exposure to computer screens, working closely with others in an open office environment.
  • The ability to work from home will be available to the correct candidate, should that candidate not be based in Houston.

Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity; ability to view computer screen for full shift, approximately eight hours
  • Sitting for extended period of time
  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer, keyboard and mouse
  • Speaking for operating a phone with ability to convey detailed information accurately and clearly
