Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AU Tax Accountant with a strong background in Australian Public Practice to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing financial statements, workpapers, and Australian income tax returns while ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation. This role supports a diverse portfolio of SME to mid-market clients and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for Australian SME and mid-market clients.
  • Prepare complete and accurate workpapers to support financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Prepare and lodge Australian income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Apply Australian tax legislation to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
  • Review financial data and identify discrepancies or areas requiring clarification.
  • Assist in tax planning and provide recommendations to support client compliance.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain required financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and managers to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Keep up to date with changes in Australian taxation laws and accounting standards.
  • Perform other accounting and taxation-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is an advantage but not required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of Australian Public Practice (AU Tax Accounting) experience.
  • Experience working with SME to mid-market clients in an Australian accounting firm.
  • Exposure to clients with approximately AUD 5M–10M annual turnover is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Work Arrangement

  • Must be willing to work onsite during the first month for training and onboarding.
  • Transition to a hybrid work setup after successful completion of the onboarding period.
  • Available to start ASAP.

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php190,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Makati
