Senior Tax Analyst

Position Summary:

This position will support the global tax department and is challenged with leading their team to provide provision, along with ensuring timely compliance.

Job Description:

• Support and execute the company’s tax strategy and tax planning including business operations
  
• Execute on our global tax vision across Momentive and support our global tax organization’s alignment with that goal; optimizing internal and external resources
  
• Support and execute on tax strategies to minimize cash taxes and lower the effective tax rate
  
• Support the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax accounting reporting process
  
• Support quarterly consolidated worldwide income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
  
• Ensure all income tax related general ledger accounts are properly recorded and reconciled
  
• Support the income tax compliance outsourcing for federal, state and local tax filings
  
• Monitor and ensure compliance with changing tax laws and provide input to Tax Manager and above on changes that could affect Momentive’s tax position
  
• Support global tax audits, including required internal coordination
  
• Support and direct the tax function’s reporting systems and processes as well as the related internal controls
  
• Support sales/use, property, and VAT compliance and exposure management processes
  
• Support international tax reporting & BEPS initiatives
  
• Support documentation for intercompany transactions
  

Additional Details:
 

• 4 - 8 years of experience in public accounting or multinational corporate tax accounting
  
• Must possess an understanding of ASC 740 and FIN 48 and domestic income tax provisions
  
• Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across a global organization within the broader finance and business teams
  
• Advanced problem solving skills (critical thinking, creativity, innovation) with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) and ability to effectively communicate complex tax and financial topics
  

Must have solid understanding of tax returns, federal, state, local tax laws and regulations
