Job description

πŸ’™ Licensed Mental Health Therapist β€” Part-Time

πŸ“ Remote Β· Virginia License Required

πŸŽ’ Meaningful Work. Flexible Schedule. Real Earning Potential.

We're growing our Virginia teamβ€”and we're looking for therapists who want meaningful part-time work without the full-time pressure.

Backpack Healthcare provides accessible mental health care to children, teens, and young adults, all through telehealth. We're clinician-led and minority-owned, and we believe great clinicians deserve flexibility, support, and opportunities to grow.

Maybe you're supplementing a private practice. Maybe you're balancing family life. Maybe you simply want consistent afternoon and evening hours doing work that matters.

Whatever brings you to part-time work, we've built this role with flexibility in mind.

🌟 What This Role Looks Like

You'll carry a caseload of approximately 15–22 sessions per week, providing individual and family therapy through telehealth.

Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM)β€”when children and teens are actually available after school. Weekend availability is a plus.

You build your schedule. We provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day-to-day will include:
  • 🩺 Conducting intakes and developing client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • πŸ’» Providing individual and family therapy through secure telehealth
  • 🀝 Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team of therapists, PMHNPs, and psychiatrists
  • πŸ“‹ Maintaining timely, accurate documentation in our EHR
  • πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Supporting families through education, care coordination, and collaborative treatment
  • 🌱 Participating in clinical consultation and contributing to a culture of high-quality care

πŸ’° Competitive Pay + Monthly Bonus Potential

We want part-time clinicians to have the opportunity to earn competitive compensation while maintaining the flexibility they need.

Your Compensation:

πŸ’΅ $65/billable hour β€” LCSW or LPC, fully licensed
πŸ’΅ $45/billable hour β€” Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Counseling, with supervision provided
πŸ’° Monthly bonus potential β€” eligible clinicians can earn additional monthly incentive compensation based on applicable clinical and performance metrics

Plus:

  • πŸ’Ό 401(k) with 3% company match
  • πŸ“š $150 annual CEU reimbursement
  • πŸŽ“ Free clinical supervision for eligible licenses
  • 🧠 Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • πŸ“ˆ Opportunities to grow into full-time, supervisory, or other leadership roles
  • 🏑 100% remote work

Part-time doesn't have to mean limited opportunity. Build your caseload, earn additional monthly incentives, and grow with us at a pace that works for you.

πŸ’™ Why Backpack Healthcare?

Since 2020, we've served 12,000+ kids and families, and 78% of families report that their child is doing better after three months.

We're building a different kind of behavioral healthcare organizationβ€”one where clinicians have the flexibility to do great work without sacrificing their lives outside of work.

We're not going to promise we're perfect. But we're serious about building a team where clinicians actually want to stay.

When clinicians thrive, kids thrive. That's not a tagline. It's how we build.

πŸŽ’ Ready to Join Us?

If you're looking for meaningful clinical work, flexible hours, competitive pay, and monthly bonus potentialβ€”without the pressure of a full-time scheduleβ€”this could be the right fit for you.

Bring your clinical expertise. We'll bring the referrals, support, and opportunity to grow. πŸ’™
