Job description

Kiwi Pay is Kiwi Financial, Inc.'s merchant payment and point-of-sale financing solution, built to help merchants offer flexible purchase financing to their customers while growing their sales. As Kiwi expands its footprint across Florida, we're building a Central Florida field team to bring Kiwi Pay directly to local merchants.

Position Summary

The Business Development Analyst will be a front-line driver of Kiwi Pay's expansion across Central Florida. This role owns the full merchant acquisition cycle — identifying and prospecting potential merchants, delivering compelling product demonstrations, preparing and presenting proposals, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable on the phone, in the field, and in front of a merchant's decision-makers, and who takes ownership of building lasting merchant relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source potential merchant partners across Florida who fit Kiwi Pay's target profile.

  • Conduct outbound cold calling to generate new merchant leads and build a healthy prospecting pipeline.

  • Schedule and conduct in-person merchant visits throughout the assigned Central Florida territory.

  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations, both in-person and virtual, that clearly communicate Kiwi Pay's value proposition.

  • Prepare and present tailored proposals to prospective merchants.

  • Coordinate delivery of promotional and point-of-sale materials to ensure every onboarded merchant receives the correct collateral.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant questions throughout the sales and onboarding process.

  • Conduct in-person or virtual training for merchant staff on using Kiwi Pay, as needed.

  • Track leads, visits, proposals, and merchant status in the CRM, keeping pipeline data accurate and current.

  • Partner with internal teams (marketing, operations, and merchant support) to ensure a smooth handoff from onboarding to activation.

  • Represent the Kiwi Pay brand professionally in every merchant interaction.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, outside sales, merchant services, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of prospecting, cold calling, and closing new business.

  • Comfortable conducting both in-person merchant visits and virtual presentations/demos.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory and pipeline independently.

  • Based in or able to travel throughout Central Florida; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or point-of-sale financing is a plus.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office/presentation software.

What Kiwi Offers

  • A collaborative, fast-moving team backed by Kiwi Financial's mission to expand financial access.

  • Ongoing product and sales training and support from the Kiwi Pay team.
