Senior Web Developer (LATAM or the Caribbean)

BA Global Talent is looking for a remote Senior Web Developer based in LATAM or the Caribbean to join a dynamic Product Development team for a four-month contract engagement.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and developing a new software module that guides users through marking up documents for accessibility purposes. You will work on scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions while collaborating with an experienced product and development team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and reliable software components.

• Design and implement a new platform module that enables users to mark up documents for accessibility purposes through a guided experience.

• Implement software-development best practices and coding standards to create scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.

• Maintain high-quality, responsive, and secure applications.

• Develop solutions using React, Redux (RTK), TypeScript, ASP . NET, and C#.

• Work with JavaScript libraries and UI frameworks such as Material UI.

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

• Contribute to cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

• Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop effective solutions.

• Collaborate closely with technical and cross-functional team members.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members when needed.

• Stay current with software-development trends, technologies, security standards, and industry best practices.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software systems design and development.

• Strong hands-on experience with React, Redux (RTK), and TypeScript.

• Experience with ASP.NET and C#.

• Experience using JavaScript libraries and UI frameworks such as Material UI.

• Proficiency with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, reliable, and secure software solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

• Very good written and verbal English communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, documentation, regulations, and general business documents.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and designs clearly and effectively.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and get things done.

• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.

• Must be based in LATAM or the Caribbean

Nice to have:

• Experience developing software related to digital accessibility, document accessibility, or assistive technology.

• Experience mentoring developers or providing technical guidance to other team members.

• Experience working on software products designed for enterprise customers.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
