About the Job:

We are looking for an Insurance - Underwriting Support Senior Analyst to join our client's team and support commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting operations. In this role, you will review and analyze insurance submissions, validate exposure and risk data, perform rating and premium calculations, investigate data discrepancies, and coordinate with underwriters and rating teams to ensure accurate and complete submissions. You will also contribute to process improvements, quality controls, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze commercial P&C submissions for completeness, accuracy, and rating readiness.
  • Extract and validate exposure, loss, coverage, and risk data from submission documents.
  • Analyze loss frequency and severity, Total Insured Value (TIV), limits, deductibles, and exposure bases.
  • Enter and validate insurance data in rating tools, underwriting systems, and Excel templates.
  • Perform premium calculations, rating checks, and data reconciliation.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, missing information, and underwriting exceptions.
  • Coordinate with underwriters and rating teams to resolve complex submission issues.
  • Maintain trackers, audit logs, and performance metrics.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure compliance with underwriting and rating requirements.
  • Identify and support process improvements, automation opportunities, and quality control initiatives.
  • Handle complex submissions independently and escalate underwriting exceptions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in P&C insurance, preferably in underwriting support or rating.
  • Strong knowledge of ACORD forms, loss runs, Statements of Values (SOVs), exposure data, coverage, limits, and deductibles.
  • Experience with commercial risk analysis, premium rating, and underwriting data validation.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with rating or underwriting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance terminology, coverage structures, rating factors, and underwriting requirements.
  • Strong data reconciliation, quality control, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage complex insurance submissions and escalate underwriting exceptions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with brokers, underwriters, and rating teams.
  • Can start immediately, if possible.
