The Role

Fidelity Philanthropic Services is seeking a Vice President of Data Enablement, Governance & Quality to lead the evolution of our data program. This highly visible leadership role will shape how data is understood, managed, and leveraged across the organization while building a culture that recognizes data as a critical business asset. You will partner with senior leaders across business and technology functions to establish long-term strategies, influence organizational change, and create the governance, stewardship, security, and quality practices needed to support future growth, innovation, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

You bring a combination of strategic leadership, data management expertise, and organizational influence. You are energized by building programs, developing strong partnerships, and creating alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and have demonstrated success transforming developing or fragmented capabilities into sustainable enterprise programs.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Data Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Significant experience leading enterprise data management, governance, stewardship, quality, or data enablement initiatives within a complex organization.
  • Experience justifying, developing and executing multi-year strategies that align business priorities, technology investments, and data capabilities
  • Proven success influencing senior leaders and driving organizational adoption without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise governance frameworks, stewardship models, operating procedures, and accountability structures.
  • Experience developing data quality programs, controls, metrics, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including cloud-based platforms, analytics environments, metadata management, and emerging AI-related data requirements.
  • Experience defining meaningful KPIs and reporting that measure program effectiveness, adoption, and business value.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills with the ability to engage audiences ranging from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Financial services experience and familiarity with regulatory and risk management considerations are beneficial
  • Experience navigating and participating in Enterprise level initiatives, programs and working groups; distilling enterprise level expectations to your specific area(s) of responsibility.

Most importantly, you have a track record of creating momentum, establishing credibility, and building enterprise capabilities that deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Team

Our Data Enablement, Governance & Quality team is responsible for helping Fidelity Philanthropic Services establish a strong foundation for trusted, well-managed, and accessible data across the organization. We partner closely with business leaders, operations, technology, risk, security, and analytics teams to improve how data is defined, governed, shared, and used in support of our mission.

As our data program continues to mature, this team plays a critical role in shaping the future of how information supports strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and innovation. We are building an environment where collaboration, curiosity, continuous learning, and shared accountability drive meaningful outcomes for our associates, donors, and charitable partners.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
