Job description

About 3i Members

3i is a rapidly growing, invitation-only community of family offices and private investors sharing deals, insights, and networks. With a focus on alternative and off-market deal flow, shared benefits, and investor services, 3i serves as a kitchen table around which highly engaged high net worth individuals can discuss and debate compelling investment opportunities. Our network of 800+ investors has deployed nearly $2 billion through the community over the past few years since launching.

We're looking for a Regional Director based in Los Angeles to serve our local members across Southern California.

Regional Director, Los Angeles (Remote)

The Regional Director at 3i is responsible for ensuring that members derive maximum value from the platform. This is a highly-autonomous, remote role based in Los Angeles that includes both setting the strategy for how to engage and grow the 3i network across Southern California as well as executing that strategy to turn it into reality. You will primarily be responsible for growth in regional SoCal hubs outside of LA, specifically: Orange County, San Diego, and Santa Barbara.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting the regional strategy

    • Every region/city is unique. You'll get to know the members in your region and understand how the 3i network can best help them achieve their investment, personal, philanthropic, business and career goals

    • You'll be the voice of your members to drive 3i forward in your region

    • You'll set the strategy for member engagement and growth in your region to ensure you're equipped to deliver the power of the organization locally, partnering with the 3i HQ team as well as the region's Executive Director who is also based in LA

  • Member engagement

    • Manage the onboarding process for new members to ensure that they're thoughtfully integrated into the 3i community and can immediately leverage the power of the organization

    • Conduct quarterly check-ins with members to track their progress and ensure they are succeeding as members of 3i

    • Connect members with products that enable them to achieve their goals, such as investing groups, in-person and virtual events, masterminds, curated introductions, deal diligence calls, and more

    • Be the conduit between your members and the 3i investment team, to ensure your members are always aware of deals that match their investment interests

    • Ensure members have a positive experience such that they renew their memberships

  • Member growth

    • Drive the growth strategy for how you will invest in the growth of the 3i network within your region

    • We are a referral-only network so you'll need to be comfortable thoughtfully requesting, qualifying and engaging with referrals from your members, and partnering with other Regional Directors whose members have connectivity to your region

    • Run a sales process to close your prospects in a high-touch way

  • Local community-building

    • You'll build relationships with some of the most interesting and prominent people who live in your region

    • Set an event and engagement strategy for the regional hubs you'll cover in Orange County, San Diego, and Santa Barbara

    • Plan and execute events in your region that build community cohesion and engage members. You'll do this in partnership with our Events team, who handle the actual event logistics. You'll be responsible for identifying the event theme, curating the attendee list, and hosting the events

    • You should enjoy and be comfortable facilitating small curated meals with current and prospective members as well as hosting larger events

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the financial or investment industry

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • High emotional intelligence

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Willingness to regularly travel for in-person meetings and events across Southern California and sometimes to other cities

  • Passion for community, building relationships, and helping people succeed

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation

  • Paid time off – Unlimited vacation

  • Health Coverage — We cover up to $1,000 a month for healthcare premiums

  • 401K plan
