Job description

This is a remote position.

About Us:

Founded in 1933, TLMI is the trade association for the label and package printing industry. TLMI brings converters and suppliers together to share technical know-how, benchmark performance, and stay ahead of the regulations and trends reshaping the industry. Above all, members count on TLMI for connection: to each other, to trusted expertise, and to resources that make their work easier.

Job Description:

TLMI is looking for a Senior Coordinator, Sustainability Initiatives & Committee Engagement to connect members with sustainability information, subject-matter experts, and each other. This role needs a genuine passion for sustainability (not necessarily deep expertise), plus the ability to organize, translate, and activate: keeping committees moving, turning their work into resources members actually use, and building relationships that make people want to participate.

If you're naturally curious, genuinely enjoy people, and get satisfaction from being the one who keeps a dozen moving parts on track, and have a true passion for sustainability; this could be a great next step!

This role is a full-time, remote opportunity and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities: The candidate must:

  • Track emerging sustainability developments (EPR, PFAS, EUDR, carbon reporting, EHS, recyclability standards, packaging regulations) closely enough to know what matters and who the experts are; not to become the expert yourself

  • Serve as members' go-to touchpoint for sustainability-related questions, and help drive participation in committees and working groups

  • Coordinate and support TLMI's committees; scheduling, agendas, meeting prep, follow-up, and documentation to ensure committee work reliably turns into member value

  • Help committee chairs stay focused between meetings and keep their work aligned with TLMI's broader goals

  • Spot overlap and opportunity across committees so members aren't duplicating effort

  • Build out TLMI's knowledge resources such as toolkits, best-practice guides, regulatory updates, case studies, and trend reports;  curating and translating information rather than creating all of it solo

  • Develop real relationships with converter and supplier members, including member interviews to surface unmet needs

Requirements

Requirements: The candidate will:

  • Have 3–7 years of professional experience in print, label and packaging, project management, sustainability programs, or industry/association member services

  • Be highly organized, with a track record of managing multiple projects or committees at once

  • Be a strong communicator and facilitator, comfortable engaging executives and subject-matter experts alike

  • Be relationship-oriented, eager, enthusiastic, and a β€œgo getter”

  • Be a curious learner who's happy to grow into sustainability and regulatory topics over time, rather than arriving as the finished expert

Growth Path:

Over the next three to five years, this role has real room to grow by building credibility with members, deepening industry knowledge, and evolving into TLMI's recognized voice on sustainability.

Salary: 70,000-80,000
