Salary: $30 - $35 USD per hour

TauRx is a global leader in Alzheimer’s research, dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercialising innovative products for the diagnosis, treatment, and cure of neurodegenerative disorders. Our mission is to combat one of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges through a novel approach targeting the tau pathway in the brain. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring our research and operational teams have the materials and services they need to advance our pioneering work. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous and efficient professional, capable of managing procurement processes effectively in a remote working environment.

Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process. Your key duties will include:

 

  • Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain product information, quotes, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiating prices and terms with vendors to secure the best value for the organisation.
  • Maintaining and updating procurement records, including supplier information, orders, and contracts.
  • Collaborating with internal departments, such as research and finance, to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Resolving any issues related to orders, shipments, or invoicing with suppliers.
  • Assisting in the evaluation and sourcing of new suppliers in line with company standards.
  • Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in procurement and excellent administrative skills. The following qualifications are required:

 

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator, Procurement Assistant, or in a similar administrative role.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective correspondence with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
  • A proactive and independent worker, well-suited for a remote position.
  • (Desirable) Experience working within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or a related research-focused industry.
  • (Desirable) Familiarity with procurement software and supply chain management principles.
