Job role: Fabric Cloud Engineer and Platform Administrator.

Location: Remote (EU).

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Fabric Cloud Engineer & Platform Administrator to manage, automate, and continuously improve our Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments. This role is responsible for administering Microsoft Fabric tenants and capacities, governing OneLake, managing security and access controls, and ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform Cloud, build and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, manage Git-based deployment processes, and monitor platform performance, compliance, and operational health. Working closely with engineering, architecture, security, and analytics teams, you will help deliver a modern self-service data platform that enables efficient and governed data operations across the organization.

Tasks:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments, including tenant, workspace, capacity, and platform management.

• Define and enforce governance policies for OneLake, ensuring secure and compliant data usage.

• Manage platform security, authentication, authorization, and access controls using Entra ID and RBAC principles.

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform Cloud.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using YAML.

• Manage Git integration, branching strategies, release management, and platform deployment workflows.

• Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity utilization, security posture, compliance, and operational costs.

• Automate administrative and operational activities using PowerShell, CLI tools, and REST APIs.

• Troubleshoot platform issues and drive continuous improvements across the cloud and analytics ecosystem.

• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and analytics teams to design and deliver scalable platform capabilities.

• Support the adoption of self-service analytics by providing a secure, governed, and reliable platform foundation.

Specific Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric administration and operations.

• Proven experience with Power BI administration, including tenant and capacity management.

• Solid experience designing and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

• Experience implementing and maintaining Terraform Cloud Infrastructure as Code solutions.

• Proven experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.

• Strong knowledge of YAML-based deployment pipelines and Git-based development workflows.

• Experience working with REST APIs, PowerShell, and command-line automation.

• Strong understanding of platform governance, security, compliance, monitoring, reliability, and cost management.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, architecture, security, and analytics teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Python for automation and platform tooling.

• Exposure to AI/Copilot technologies and related use cases.

• Experience with Databricks.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and data governance practices.

Rate:

• 205-225€/day.
