LOCATION

This is a remote position, however, candidates MUST be based in the Central or Eastern time zones to be considered, candidates outside of these timzones will be automatically disqualified. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Sales Strategy is a senior business leader and trusted advisor to the VP of Enterprise Sales, responsible for driving business performance, strategic priorities, and operational execution across the Enterprise organization. This role combines strategy, analytics, and operational leadership to accelerate growth, improve productivity, optimize investments, and drive predictable business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed environment. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Business Strategy & Performance 

  • Evaluate business performance, identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support decisions related to growth, investments, resource allocation, and organizational priorities.
  • Connect insights across regions, functions, and customer segments to guide executive decision-making. 

Business Operations & Execution 

  • Leverage analytics and commercial insights to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and business risks.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance to optimize resource allocation, coverage strategies, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze revenue trends, pipeline health, forecast performance, and productivity metrics to drive business decisions.
  • Support complex revenue and margin strategies through business analysis, investment evaluation, and deal economics. 

Planning & Organizational Strategy 

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and sales leaders on annual planning, territory strategy, organizational design, and investment decisions.
  • Optimize headcount, coverage models, productivity, and resource deployment to support growth. 

Field & Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Maintain close engagement with field leaders to understand customer, market, partner, and competitive dynamics.
  • Serve as a liaison across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, HR, Channel, Solutions Engineering, and other GTM teams. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology or complex B2B sales environments.
  • Experience working in storage, or storage adjacent enviroments (understanding of hardware, cloud, SaaS consumption models). 
  • Fun, approachable, believes no problem is unfixable, even if it takes a lot of work - required. 
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales motions, forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and deal execution.
  • Proven experience leading strategic initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and analytical acumen with the ability to translate data into action.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience partnering with senior sales leaders and executive teams. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

An accomplished strategist, operator, and business leader who understands how large enterprise sales organizations run and can quickly translate insights into action. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing across organizational boundaries, and driving execution against the business's highest-priority initiatives. Most importantly, they do not simply report on the business, they help lead it by improving performance, enabling growth, and driving predictable, profitable outcomes. This person will take on a lot of challenges, be involved in a lot of projects, no day or task will look the same, you will support the Enterprise Sales Business, which means working with many different teams. There will be puzzles to solve, diplomacy to be practiced, but you will have a ton of fun working with a world class team to ensure our sellers, our leaders, our internal partners are working at max effiency.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 196,350 - 292,600 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
