Duties of the NBS OPS support will include the following:

● Assist with processing, reviewing, and qualifying hydrographic and topographic survey data in a GIS environment.
● Assist with producing and quality assuring deconflicted bathymetric products.
● Assist with maintaining the model of bathymetry as new sources become available and as new workflows are introduced to iterate towards a more complete and accurate product.
● Assist with standardizing, optimizing and improving documentation to support the NBS program.
● Assist with creating, automating, and optimizing workflows for various subject matter such as hydrography, physics, and geodesy in relation to the NBS program.

These tasks also include the following travel:
● Travel to meet with the NBS Team once per year for an annual planning session.
Travel may be subject to change based on government needs, conference schedules, and availability

Qualifications:

The Scientist II selected should have the following:

○ Data analysis and an understanding of GIS and data management techniques.
○ Application software including Python, PostgreSQL, Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS), ArcGIS, and/or Computer Aided Resource Information System (CARIS).
