OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.
About the Role
OpenLoop’s mission is to bring care anywhere by powering telehealth solutions at scale. As the Director, Implementation Project Management, you’ll build the operating system that makes client launches repeatable: how projects get planned, how Technical Project Managers are assigned across the book of business, and how implementation status reaches clients and executives.
What You'll Do
Build OpenLoop’s implementation PMO from the ground up: tiered playbooks, stage gates, templates, risk and change controls, escalation paths and closure standards that teams actually use.
Run the implementation portfolio across every active customer launch, including status, sequencing, dependencies, committed dates and project manager assignments.
Identify schedule and capacity conflicts early, then bring leadership a clear recommendation on staffing, sequencing or trade-offs.
Select and launch the project management platform, designing workflows that make delivery easier so the system earns adoption and becomes the source of truth.
Build clear customer, operating and executive reporting that shows whether implementations are on track and where the business is exposed.
Personally lead project management for OpenLoop’s largest strategic implementations, owning the integrated plan, critical path, scope, governance and difficult customer conversations.
Hire and develop four Technical Project Managers who can run complex accounts with strong client presence, scope discipline and independent judgment.
Orchestrate readiness across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Technical Implementation and customers, from pre-signature requirements through UAT, sign-off and handoff, while Technical Implementation owns technical QA.
Partner with the Director of Technical Implementation to match portfolio demand with engineering capacity and make joint staffing and sequencing decisions.
Define the implementation scorecard and use it to improve time to go-live, milestone attainment, schedule predictability, scope control and project manager capacity.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
A builder. You would rather design the machine than run one someone else built, and you’ve done it before from a low-maturity starting point.
Pragmatic about process. You build the lightest system people will actually use, measure whether they use it, and cut the steps that keep getting skipped.
Direct under pressure. You can tell a client their date has moved, with a cause and a revised plan, and keep the relationship intact.
Comfortable holding two jobs at once: designing the framework while carrying a live strategic account, with no quiet quarter to do the design work in.
Technically curious enough to read an integration requirements document and know which questions haven’t been answered.
Makes the system earn its keep. You design tools and workflows that give teams more value than the effort required to maintain them, so adoption comes from usefulness, not constant chasing.
Clear about the scope boundary: you know when a client problem is a configuration problem, a deployment problem, or a product gap, and you route it once.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years in program or project management, implementation or delivery in B2B software or services, including 3+ years managing project managers.
Demonstrated experience designing and rolling out a PMO or delivery framework where implementations carried real technical dependencies, with evidence the framework was still in use six months later.
Experience owning portfolio-level resource assignment and defending capacity and sequencing trade-offs to leadership.
Experience leading a project management tool selection and implementation, including migrating in-flight work and driving adoption.
Technical project management fluency: integrations and APIs, SSO and identity, environments, data flows, UAT and QA coordination.
Client-facing experience at the executive level, including chairing steering committees and delivering unwelcome messages clearly.
Experience hiring, developing and performance-managing project managers.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare, digital health, virtual care or another regulated-industry background.
Experience coordinating clinical, pharmacy, lab, credentialing, licensing or multi-state operational dependencies.
Experience in a professional-services or client-delivery environment with clear separation between project managers and technical implementers.
Experience building or operating tiered delivery models.
PMP, PgMP or equivalent training; evidence of delivery judgment matters more than certification.
In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for:
Medical, Dental, and Vision plans
Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts
Flexible PTO
401(k) + Company Match
Life Insurance, Pet insurance, and more
