Job description

We are hiring a Portfolio Partner to own our client book. Our clients are the portfolio: every company raising on Pairs gets a dedicated partner who carries their raise week to week. That partner is you.

Pairs is where founders come to raise capital. We pair them with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then our agents manage the relationships that turn into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients.

The role

You support every company working with us through the life of their raise. You run the weekly calls, keep momentum honest, prepare founders for the investor meetings that matter, debrief what happened, and strategize on an ongoing basis. You also bring a book of your own. Five or more years of relationships with family offices, VCs, HNW investors, and institutional allocators, built and kept warm, now put to work for the companies you manage. This is not a fund seat and you will not manage money. You manage raises and the founders running them. Your hours go to judgment, relationships, and the conversations that keep a raise moving. You report directly to the two co-founders and hold the most client-facing seat in the company.

What you will own

  • A book of client companies: the weekly rhythm, the momentum, and the relationship, from onboarding through close.

  • Investor meetings end to end for your book: prepared before, debriefed after, feedback captured and delivered honestly.

  • Your own investor relationships, worked for the portfolio: the right company in front of the right allocator at the right moment.

  • Raise readiness across your book: narrative, materials, and data room, kept sharp.

  • Renewals earned through ownership: clients stay because the seat works.

You are a fit if you

  • Have 5 or more years across capital markets, private placements, brokerage, or investment management, with direct work on private financings.

  • Hold real, current relationships with family offices, HNW investors, or institutional allocators: when you call, the call gets taken.

  • Have carried companies or clients through a financing personally: the weekly grind, the stalls, and the closes.

  • Are fluent in deal mechanics: terms, structures, diligence, and what investors actually ask before they commit.

  • Deliver hard news straight and early, and stay steady when a founder is not.

  • Treat discretion as a reflex: financials, cap tables, terms, and names stay confidential, always.

What we offer

Fully remote. Your day overlaps with US Eastern time, since that is when your clients and their investors are live. Meetings across the company batch on Mondays and Thursdays; your client rhythm runs on its own cadence. A client-facing seat reporting directly to both co-founders, real ownership of the client book, and relationships that produce visible outcomes.
