Data Platform Engineer

At Q-tech, we're hiring a Data Platform Engineer - Snowflake to join a data infrastructure team that lays the secure, scalable and trustworthy foundation for storing, processing and distributing critical data at a leading international financial services firm.

In this role, you'll combine data and platform engineering expertise to design, build and continuously improve a cloud-based data platform.

Location: Madrid

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the end-to-end architecture and design of cloud data platform components, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and solution designs.

• Design reusable components for data ingestion, transformation and distribution.

• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Partner with architecture, security, data governance and other stakeholders to strengthen regulatory compliance and platform reliability.

What we're looking for:

• At least 3 years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering or a related field.

• Strong experience with Snowflake and solid data engineering fundamentals.

• Proficiency with Terraform, dbt and Airflow.

• Good level of Python and/or Java.

• Experience with SDLC tools: Git, JIRA, Artifactory, GitHub.

• Fluent English.
