Job Description


Turner & Townsend are seeking an ambitious Cost Support Engineer to join our prestigious technology client’s rapidly growing Data Center Tech Ops team. You have a chance to be a key player in our technological future, as part of a team of innovative professionals shaping our built environment. 

The role requires a smart, motivated professional to work closely with global construction teams and various internal departments, including Site Development, Energy, Design, Construction Execution & Close Out via Change Orders, and Purchase Order Analytics. These departments will be utilizing both Opex and Capex Budgets. 

The ideal candidate should be a proven professional familiar with working within a fast paced ever changing environment preference would be within the Tech Industry. The induvial will be 100% remote which requires a strong understanding of the operational process and procedures as it relates to compliance within the Client’s Organization. In this role as Cost Support Engineer, you will work closely with our global technical operation teams for our clients ever growing Infrastructure teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must in this highly collaborative role. The Cost Support Engineer work closely with leaders within multiple Client Groups along with other members of the project team. 

This CSE Team operates under a High-Performance Project Team model which incorporates effective leadership of its teammates by embracing clear operating rules through collaboration of shared goals and purpose. 

The CSE Team’s Mission Statement is as follows: 

“Cost Support (CSE) Team will partner with Client’s Business Operations Teams to champion Client’s end to end contracting/change management processes through collaboration and effective communication.” 


Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and vendors within the Clients Technical Operations organization. 
  • Effectively communicate with the Technical Operations partners ensuring the necessary clarity is provided. 
  • Client has a developed Operational Process and Procedures as a T&T partner we are accountable that the processes are utilized by applying best practices 
  • Ability to interface and coordinate all activities in a timely manner with the Business Partners to meet the SLAs. 
  • Contract generation and routing: 
    • Drafting Contract Templates related to Change Management. 
    • Review assigned contracts for errors. 
    • Route contracts via DocuSign according to client's Approval Authority Matrix. 
    • Prepare the workflow routing in the Client’s contracting software system. 
    • Audit and update contract tracker to keep contracts moving along. 
  • Collaborate directly with Contracts and Legal team to ensure document compliance. 
  • Facilitate change order routing and review processes within project management software, content analysis, and executive approval as required 
  • Understanding of Schedule of Values and Schedule as it relates to change within the Contract. 
  • Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts. 
  • Report non-compliance. 
  • The CSE Team frequently leads in the development of programmatic initiatives, training, and alignment opportunities. 
  • Be your own administrator as it applies to general office duties. 

Qualifications

 

  • Self-management of one’s daily activities and maintenance of daily tracking log. 
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and timely follow-up. 
  • Ability to build relationships within all levels of the company. 
  • Highly Confident and Experience in drafting and executing contract documents. 
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced and ever pivoting environment. 
  • Proven skills in consulting with internal/external business clients. 
  • Ability to drive change and improve end-to-end processes. 
  • Comfortably and effectively interact with employees at all levels, develop cooperative working partnerships and contribute to teams. 
  • Proven ability to handle visible workflows and effectively communicate goals/objectives to all levels management. 
  • Ability to prioritize and use available tools to be productive and manage high volumes. 
  • Unifier, Procore, Oracle, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint skills. 
  • Construction/Contracting/Finance/Accounting Background. 
  • BA/BS.

*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

The base salary range for this role is $110K-$140K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
