Job Description:

  • Technical support across pre- and post-sales activities at major customers. Help sales to identify opportunities strictly for design win.
  • Closely follow up customer's issues and rapidly and effectively responded customer's questions.
  • Closely work with sales to develop strategies to close key opportunities and increase market share for Microchip's storage products in a large scale of applications
  • Provide on-site professional technical support to Microchip's storage customers. Issues debug in customer lab including device/system level hardware, firmware and software.
  • Support customers for architecture discussion with MCHP products.
  • Good communication ability with Customers/BU and sales managers for customer critical and urgent issues and project backgrounds.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent required. MSEE is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of SW R&D experience for driver and OS relevant development, HW experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer support experience are preferred.
  • Good understanding of current storage architecture, familiar with major storage protocol: PCI-Express. NVMe related experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of basic OS principle and Linux family kernel architecture.
  • Good in writing/reading and speaking in English
  • Creative thinking and innovation with analytic problem-solving ability.
  • Willing to travel frequently and longtime remote onsite support.
