Senior Director, Patient Access/| Healthcare Operations Leader (Remote) 

Remote, UT 

Lead Large-Scale Healthcare Operations. Drive Meaningful Change.

As a Senior Director, Patient Access, you'll provide strategic leadership across multiple hospital facilities, helping healthcare organizations improve patient access, enhance financial performance, and create exceptional patient experiences.

What You'll Do 

Drive Collaboration with Patient Access Operations 

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Patient Access functions across multiple hospital facilities. 

  • Ensure efficient patient processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 

  • Drive operational excellence by improving performance, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial outcomes. 

  • Establish operational goals, performance expectations, and accountability measures across the region. 

  • Monitor key operational, quality, and financial metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 

Partner with Clients and Executive Leaders 

  • Build trusted relationships with hospital executives, physicians, and operational leaders. 

  • Serve as a strategic partner to client stakeholders, helping identify and implement operational improvements. 

  • Facilitate executive business reviews, operational meetings, and strategic planning discussions. 

  • Collaborate with shared service and corporate partners to support a "one-team" approach. 

  • Represent Patient Access operations on market, regional, and organizational committees. 

Lead Change and Process Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance. 

  • Challenge existing practices and implement innovative solutions that improve patient, provider, and business outcomes. 

  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives across complex healthcare environments. 

  • Drive adoption of best practices and standard operating procedures across facilities. 

  • Utilize data and performance reporting to make informed business decisions and improve results. 

  • Effectively collaborate with internal performance management and service delivery teams. 

Develop High-Performing Leaders and Teams 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Directors, Managers, and frontline operational leaders. 

  • Create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and system standardization. 

  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance related to employee engagement, workforce planning, and performance management. 

  • Foster an environment where leaders feel empowered to drive results and develop their teams. 

Manage Business Performance 

  • Develop, manage, and monitor operational budgets. 

  • Ensure efficient utilization of resources while maintaining service excellence. 

  • Evaluate operational performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. 

  • Support achievement of client, financial, and organizational objectives. 

  • Drive sustainable results through disciplined operational management and strategic execution. 

 

What You'll Bring 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

  • Minimum 10 years of healthcare operations, Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or related experience. 

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience, including management of leaders and large operational teams. 

  • Experience overseeing multi-site healthcare operations. 

  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and drive organizational change. 

  • Strong analytical, financial, operational management, and executive/client-level communication skills. 

  • Ability to travel locally between assigned hospital facilities. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience leading Patient Access operations within a hospital or health system environment. 

  • Experience managing client relationships in healthcare operations or revenue cycle environments. 

  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. 

  • Experience managing large budgets and operational performance metrics. 

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • Working knowledge of Patient Access Epic functionality and workflow optimization. 

  • Continuous improvement, process improvement and/or project management leadership experience.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $152,163.00 - $231,483.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 25.00%
