Lumos is looking for a full-time NOC Engineer I β Outage Management. The NOC Engineer I - Outage Management provides comprehensive support across the Lumos Core and Access Broadband Network, including IP, Transport, and Voice platforms. This role monitors network health, coordinates outage resolution, analyzes performance issues, and collaborates with engineering and operations teams to restore services quickly and maintain network reliability.
The NOC Engineer I β Outage Management, assists with outage isolation, third party ticket creation, chronic issue identification, root cause analysis, and customer or network fault resolution. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high quality support across all network layers.
The NOC team operates in a 24/7 environment, and this position will operate specifically on a 2nd shift schedule (3 pm to 11 pm). Success in this role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues while partnering with Voice, IP, Transport, OSP, and Local Operations teams.
