Job description

About Scotty AI

Scotty AI scales the global digital workforce. Based in the Netherlands and Portugal, we empower enterprises to deploy digital workers at scale and automate end-to-end processes — driving unprecedented cost savings, stronger business outcomes, and better experiences for everyone involved.

The Role

As an Implementation Consultant, you're the client's day-to-day point of contact for the length of an implementation project — from discovery through go-live. You translate business needs into requirements, define the business-level conversation flow, and coordinate with the Conversation Designer and developers building it, keeping the project on track and the client informed. This is a project role, not an account role: the Customer Success Manager owns the client relationship before the project starts and after it ends — you hand back to them (and to Support) once delivery is complete. For major escalations, you loop in your manager or the CSM rather than owning resolution alone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Requirements & Workshops: Run discovery/workshop sessions with clients (prep, facilitation, follow-up notes); translate business processes into conversational requirements.
  • Conversation Design (business flow) — shared with Conversation Designer: Define the user journey and business logic — steps, decision points, messaging intent, edge cases. The Conversation Designer co-designs the technical mapping.
  • Content Collection: Gather copy, FAQ answers, brand voice guidelines, and business rules for the Conversation Designer to implement.
  • Agile Delivery Management: Sequence delivery work within the project's sprint cadence, groom the backlog, track blockers.
  • Documentation (AI-driven): Create and maintain project docs, scope definitions, and configuration workbooks using AI tools — including setting up the AI workflows/templates that generate and update them — reviewing output for accuracy.
  • Testing & UAT: Build the test plan, guide client feedback testing and UAT, and test the finished build against the original requirements (not a technical test).
  • Support Ticket Triage: Triage incoming tickets during the project and route technical issues to the Conversation Designer.
  • Client Communication: Keep the client informed with regular status updates and expectation-setting; support with escalations, in coordination with your manager.
  • Status Reporting: Report project status to your manager.

Key Skills

  • Client Communication: Clear, confident communication with client stakeholders; able to hold the agreed scope and timeline under pushback, without needing formal authority to do it.
  • Conversation & UX: Strong grasp of business-level conversation design (journeys, decision points, edge cases); comfortable partnering with a Conversation Designer on technical mapping.
  • Agile Delivery: Comfortable sequencing project work in a sprint/backlog cadence, grooming a backlog, and flagging blockers; fluent in Jira, Confluence, and ticket-based workflows.
  • AI-Enabled Documentation: Able to use AI tools to draft and maintain documentation and set up simple AI workflows that keep it current with minimal manual upkeep — and to critically review AI-generated output for accuracy before it reaches a client.
  • Analytical Rigor: Able to build test plans, interpret UAT/client feedback, and judge whether a build meets the original requirement.

Key Behaviors

  • Accountable: You see a project through end-to-end, escalating rather than trying to solve everything solo.
  • Composed: You don't get overwhelmed by a demanding or highly technical stakeholder pushing back on scope.
  • Proactive: You anticipate client needs and surface risks early; you don't wait for a perfect brief.
  • Curious: You have a genuine interest in understanding client businesses and users.
  • Organized: You keep a clear, current view of scope, timeline, and backlog as priorities shift.
  • Collaborative: You work closely with the Conversation Designer, share context clearly, and hand work off (and take it back) smoothly.
  • AI-Fluent: Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to speed up documentation and delivery work, while knowing when to trust the output and when to slow down and verify it yourself.

Key Outputs

  • Requirements docs and workshop notes.
  • Business-level conversation flow specs.
  • Scope notes and configuration workbooks, produced and kept current via AI workflows.
  • Groomed backlog and current Jira/Confluence tickets.
  • Test plans, UAT results, and client sign-off.

Application Requirements

  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Dutch is highly preferred. CV and application must be submitted in English.
  • Residency: Currently based in Portugal (proximity to Aveiro is a plus).
  • Work Permit: Valid Portuguese work authorization required.

Benefits

  • Permanent contract.
  • Remote-first work model with occasional office visits.
  • Comprehensive health insurance.
  • Annual fully paid 1-week company shutdown.
  • Flexible work environment with a high-growth scale-up culture.

Compensation: Around €30,000 gross/year, depending on experience
