Homebased | Security Clearance required

Help ensure high-quality software releases while supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of the SOE tool across training delivery units. You will work within Agile delivery teams, combining hands-on testing, defect management, user support and collaboration with technical and operational stakeholders.

Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing
•    Delivering manual, functional, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) across software releases
•    Creating and executing test cases, analysing results and maintaining traceability to requirements and user stories
•    Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
•    Supporting Agile delivery through sprint planning, reviews, release activities and quality assurance processes
•    Collaborating with developers, analysts, stakeholders and users to improve software quality and user experience
•    Supporting the SOE rollout through user guidance, feedback gathering, enhancement testing and adoption activities
•    Contributing to continuous improvement and quality assurance best practice across delivery teams

What You'll Need
Essential

•    GCSE Maths and English at Grade 6 or above, or an equivalent qualification
•    Experience in software testing, quality assurance or application support
•    Experience creating and executing test cases and managing software defects
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications
•    Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
•    The ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance

Desirable
•    ISTQB Foundation Certification or an equivalent software testing qualification
•    Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
•    Knowledge of regression testing, UAT, risk-based testing and test design techniques
•    Experience supporting users through software implementation, training or process change
•    Understanding of TAFMIS applications, planning processes or JPA
Soft Skills
•    Clear communication, with the ability to explain technical information to different audiences
•    Strong collaboration, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
•    Resilience and adaptability when priorities or requirements change
•    A proactive, organised approach with a focus on continuous improvement
