Job description

Staples is business to business. You’re what binds us together.

As a Furniture Implementation Specialist, you’ll help bring customer workspace solutions to life by managing the details that happen after the sale. Acting as the central point of contact across customers, sales partners, vendors, and third-party installers, you’ll coordinate furniture orders from delivery through final installation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping projects moving, and creating a seamless experience for customers while supporting a high-performing sales organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate post-sale furniture order activities, including delivery, installation, scheduling, and issue resolution.

  • Manage service orders in internal systems such as CFS, Salesforce, or equivalent tools to ensure information is accurate, complete, and updated within required timelines.

  • Schedule and confirm deliveries and installations with customers, vendors, and third-party installation partners.

  • Track product status, project timelines, cost details, labor purchase orders, and installation readiness to help keep orders on schedule.

  • Review installation drawings against the bill of material and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate customer instructions, site requirements, and service expectations clearly to vendors and installation teams.

  • Manage punch-list items, return trips, and service issues by identifying next steps and coordinating corrective action.

  • Provide timely status updates and progress reports to customers, sales partners, project management, and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of order progress, communications, changes, and final outcomes.

  • Support third-party vendors with process and tool usage to promote accurate reporting and consistent execution.

What you bring to the table:

  • Strong coordination and project management skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple customer orders, partners, and timelines while staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively across customers, vendors, installers, sales, customer service, and project management teams.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to evaluate issues, determine next steps, and escalate when needed.

  • Comfort working independently and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.

  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a smooth, reliable installation experience.

  • Ability to balance customer needs, vendor timelines, internal cost objectives, and operational requirements.

  • Interest in improving repeatable processes and identifying ways to make delivery and installation workflows more consistent.

  • Comfort using email, phone, and business systems to track information, document activity, and provide updates.

  • Collaborative approach to working with internal and external partners toward shared solutions.
