Job description

About Ritual

Ritual is a personal health brand that is raising the bar for daily wellness. Known for our best-selling, clinically backed prenatal, we create science-backed supplements with transparency at their core. We believe women deserve products they can trust, backed by real evidence—not just promises.

We started by reinventing the multivitamin with the first visible supply chain of its kind. Today, we’re expanding into new categories with the same high standards that built our reputation. Hundreds of thousands trust Ritual, and we’re growing fast.

Our team of 120+ scientists, creatives, and skeptics is raising the bar for women’s health. We’re venture-backed, based in sunny Los Angeles, and always looking for people ready to challenge the industry—and do the best work of their careers.

About the role

The Sr. Manager, Social will lead Ritual's organic social strategy, shaping how the brand shows up across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts through best-in-class storytelling, platform-native content, and a clear strategic point of view.

This role is for a social strategist and natural storyteller who can build the calendar, write the briefs, and make the content. Ritual's social lives in two registers at once: entertaining and culturally fluent on one hand, deeply rooted in science on the other. Our social presence is one of Ritual's strongest brand assets and we’re not looking for a rebuild - we’re looking for someone to bring the strategic vision to take it further. You'll oversee the overarching channel strategy while directly owning Instagram, working in close partnership with our social video lead (who owns TikTok) and our editorial strategist. Because organic social touches everything at Ritual, you'll build relationships across creative, product, growth, scientific affairs, and regulatory to bring evidence-backed storytelling to life.

You are a hands-on creator with excellent taste and a passion for women's health: culturally fluent and energized by where social is headed next.

What you'll do

  • Lead Ritual's overarching organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts including channel goals, content calendars, and sharp creative briefs that translate brand priorities into clear, platform-specific content.
  • Own Instagram end to end: strategy, calendar, and content, while partnering with our social video lead on TikTok and overall platform mix, and staying on the pulse of what's emerging.
  • Translate complex science into content people actually want to share, partnering with scientific affairs and running work through regulatory review
  • Shape social's role in everything from product launches and integrated brand campaigns to evergreen content, original series, and founder content, collaborating with cross-functional teams from brief to launch.
  • Build and manage content partnerships, identifying and sourcing creators, developing briefs, running giveaways, and owning contracts and deliverables end to end.
  • Own social analytics and reporting, translating performance insights into strategic recommendations that shape content, cadence, and platform mix.
  • Openness to experimenting with emerging tools and AI-enabled workflows to work smarter and keep Ritual's content ahead of the curve.

Who you are

Dot Connector: You see how organic social connects to other teams like product, growth, scientific affairs, regulatory, and you know how to build real relationships across teams. You use those connections to make the work sharper, not slower. You can zoom out to build the channel playbook and zoom in to perfect a single caption.

Clear and Kind Communicator: You're a strong writer with sharp platform instincts and you understand tone, timing, and cultural relevance. Your briefs give teams a clear, inspiring starting point, your feedback lands well, and your copy carries the brand voice. You can produce content that resonates while ensuring that brand storytelling remains trustworthy, accurate, and aligned with our commitment to women's health.

Agile Learner: You're a natural early adopter who translates platform shifts and emerging tools into a clear "why" and "how" for the people around you.

Creative Problem Solver: You're resourceful and hands-on, comfortable making content yourself and finding scrappy ways forward without a big production budget.

Project Leader: You build the calendar, hold the deadlines, and flag risks before they become problems. Partners describe you as the person who keeps the trains running.

People Leader: You'll manage our Manager, Social Video. You're the kind of manager who invests in growth, coaches through 1:1s, and gives feedback that's direct and kind.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in social media strategy or brand social, ideally in wellness, health, beauty, or a comparable consumer category.
  • Proven experience developing multi-platform social strategies, content calendars, and creative briefs.
  • Experience building and managing content partnerships, including creator sourcing, briefs, giveaways, and contract management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with regulated categories (supplements, health, beauty, food) a plus.
  • Exceptional writing skills with strong editorial judgment.
  • Demonstrated static content creation skills; video shooting/editing ability is a plus.
  • Experience with social analytics, reporting, and performance-driven iteration.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed above. We're committed to building a diverse team and recognize that skills can be developed in many different ways.
