Senior Full Stack Engineer

Zeel is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale the next generation of our provider experience and new healthcare products. 

Millions of people live with chronic pain, and for many of them - especially veterans - effective, non-pharmacological care is still hard to reach. Zeel is changing that by making medical massage and other therapy modalities as easy to access as any other essential service. You'll build the tools that put that care in motion.

The mission

Zeel connects members and veterans with licensed therapists who deliver medical massage and related therapies - in homes and offices.  Behind every appointment is a real person getting relief: a veteran managing  back pain without another prescription, a patient recovering mobility, a member finally getting care that fits their life. The engineering problem is making that happen reliably, every day, across scheduling, clinical documentation, and payment.

The products you build here are how therapists run their practice and how a veteran's referral turns into actual care. Expanding access means building things that work every time, for people who are counting on them.

The role

You'll join a small, senior team reimagining the Zeel provider experience - the app and tools licensed therapists rely on to run their practice on our platform. It's work with the freedom of a greenfield project and the grounding of a product with real daily users: you'll help rethink how providers experience Zeel end to end, informed by years of learning about what they actually need.

The provider experience is where you'll start, not where you'll stop. Zeel is actively launching new products and services that expand what care we can deliver and who we can deliver it to, and this team takes them from idea to production. If you get energy from 0→1 - shaping the product, making the architectural calls, and owning what you ship - this is that job.  

This is a remote position, however, you must be located within the United States.

What you'll do

• Shape the next generation of the provider experience - the app and tools providers use every day - from architecture through implementation and the judgment calls in between.
• Take new 0→1 products and services from concept to launch.
• Work full-stack: mobile and web frontends, and the backend APIs and services that power them.
• Build quality in as a feature: observability, automated testing, and CI/CD that let a small team ship fast with confidence.
• Partner directly with product, design, and operations - and with the providers who use what you build.
• Raise the bar: your code, reviews, and technical decisions set the standard for the codebase.
  
  

What we're looking for

• A senior full-stack engineer (typically 5+ years) with experience in React Native and TypeScript.
• High craft: you care about the details users feel — performance, reliability, polish — and the details they don't, like clean abstractions and observability.
• A track record of 0→1 work: you've taken new products or services from nothing to production, and you like the ambiguity that comes with it.
• An owner's mindset: you instrument what you ship, watch it in production, and you're not finished until you know your work is delivering what it should.
• Strong product judgment - you ask what a feature is for, not just how to build it.
• Genuine motivation for the mission: expanding access to medical massage and therapy for members and veterans.
  
  

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience - clinical workflows, FHIR/HL7, HIPAA-regulated systems, or health-tech products.
• Experience building for field or gig workforces, marketplaces, or scheduling-heavy products.
• Backend depth, and comfort working across service boundaries.
• Experience standing up observability stacks and mobile CI/CD.

Our stack today includes React Native and TypeScript on mobile, React on the web, and a modern backend and data platform — and much of what this team builds next is a chance to choose the right architecture with us, not inherit one. You'll have a real voice in the stack.
