Parra Consulting Group (PCG) is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Assistance/Grants Specialist to support DOI IBC-AQD Mission Support Services. This position supports the financial assistance and grants management lifecycle, including award administration, compliance monitoring, and reporting.


This successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the administration of grants and cooperative agreements across the award lifecycle, from application review through closeout.
  • Assist in monitoring recipient compliance with financial assistance terms, conditions, and applicable federal regulations (2 CFR 200).
  • Support preparation of award documentation, modifications, and closeout packages.
  • Assist in reviewing recipient financial and performance reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support risk assessments of grant recipients and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with acquisition, financial, and program staff on financial assistance policy and process questions.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of experience in federal grants or financial assistance management, or 8 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust determination.
  • S. citizenship required to support this federal contract.


Required Experience

  • Direct experience administering federal grants, cooperative agreements, or other financial assistance instruments.
  • Working knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and applicable financial assistance regulations.
  • Experience reviewing recipient financial and performance reports.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a federal grants management system (e.g., GrantSolutions, ASAP, or comparable platform).
  • Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) or similar credential.
  • Experience supporting a DOI bureau, IBC, or another civilian agency financial assistance office.
