The Implementation Specialist plays a vital role in bringing new employer groups, health plans, vendors, and benefit programs to life. You'll be the go-to connector between clients, brokers, stop-loss carriers, pharmacy benefit managers, network partners, and our internal teams, making sure every benefit plan is set up accurately, on time, and in full compliance every step of the way.
In this role, you'll own implementation and renewal timelines from start to finish - gathering and validating plan requirements, coordinating system configuration, and supporting eligibility and data file setup. You'll be the steady hand that keeps every operational team prepared and confident for a seamless transition to live administration. We're looking for someone with strong project coordination skills, a sharp eye for detail, solid knowledge of healthcare benefits administration, and a talent for communicating clearly and warmly with stakeholders at every level.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Coordinate the onboarding and renewal process for employer groups, health plans, vendors, and benefit programs.
- Serve as the primary implementation liaison between clients, brokers, vendors, carriers, internal teams, and technology partners.
- Develop, manage, and monitor implementation and renewal timelines to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Gather, review, and validate plan design requirements, benefit specifications, eligibility rules, vendor requirements, and related documentation.
- Coordinate system configuration activities to ensure benefit plans are set up accurately within applicable administrative platforms.
- Support eligibility file setup, data file testing, vendor feeds, and other operational data requirements.
- Partner with internal departments, including claims, eligibility, customer service, account management, compliance, finance, and IT, to ensure operational readiness.
- Identify implementation risks, issues, and gaps, and work with appropriate parties to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Facilitate meetings, status updates, and communications throughout the implementation or renewal process.
- Maintain accurate records, project documentation, plan materials, and implementation checklists.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and available prior to the effective date or renewal date.
- Support post-implementation review and issue resolution to ensure a successful transition to ongoing administration.
- Ensure implementation activities are completed in accordance with company policies, client requirements, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in healthcare benefits administration, third-party administration, health insurance, employee benefits, implementation, account management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of medical benefits, eligibility, plan design, vendor coordination, and administrative processes.
- Experience coordinating projects, timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional communication.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external business partners.
HOW WE SUPPORT YOU:
- 5% annual bonus based on company profitability
- Affordable health, vision, and dental insurance for you and your family
- Company contributes up to $2,300 to Health Savings Account annually
- Wellness program that contributes additional money towards your HSA
- Automatic 3% contribution into retirement plan
- Career development and growth opportunities
- Flexible Time Off & 10 paid holidays per year
