Patient Data Entry Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time
Pay: $15.15 per hour
Markets Supported: 5 markets / 28 locations

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining patient information within our systems, ensuring patient charts are complete, insurance information is properly attached, and account deposits are accurately applied.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a high volume of information, has excellent attention to detail, and understands the importance of accuracy and confidentiality when handling patient records.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately enter and update patient information within electronic patient charts.

- Review patient accounts and ensure all required documentation is properly entered and attached.

- Attach and maintain all applicable insurance information to patient accounts.

- Verify that insurance documentation is complete and accurately associated with the correct patient.

- Apply cancellation deposits accurately to the appropriate patient accounts.

- Review accounts for missing or incomplete information and make necessary corrections.

- Maintain accurate and organized patient records across 5 markets and 28 locations.

- Follow established procedures for data entry, documentation, insurance information, and account deposits.

- Identify discrepancies or missing information and communicate issues to the appropriate team members.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable privacy and security requirements.

- Consistently meet productivity and accuracy expectations.

- Perform additional administrative and data-entry duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently while managing a high volume of data.

- Comfortable working with computers and multiple software systems.

- Ability to learn and navigate electronic patient record and insurance systems.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve or escalate them appropriately.

- Previous healthcare, dental, insurance, medical billing, or data-entry experience is preferred but not required.

- Must be dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
