Job Description

The Technology Advisory Alliance Manager is responsible for executing Acumatica's day-to-day engagement strategy with independent ERP selection consultants, IT advisory firms, and accounting firm advisory practices.

In this role, you will serve as the primary relationship owner and subject matter expert for a dedicated portfolio of tech advisory firms. You will drive advisor awareness through regular product briefings and enablement tools, support active client RFPs, and orchestrate smooth deal handoffs between advisors, internal sales teams (SSDMs, Pre-Sales, Sales), and VAR implementation partners. By gathering advisor feedback and tracking influenced pipeline performance, you will ensure Acumatica is consistently shortlisted and selected in mid-market software evaluations, all while maintaining the strict ethical neutrality required when working with fee-free independent advisors.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Advisory Firm Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and expand a robust portfolio of relationships with boutique ERP selection firms, independent IT advisors, and CPA advisory practices while maintaining strict compliance with ethics rules (ensuring neutral, fee-free collaboration).
  • Advisor Enablement & Product Positioning: Deliver high-value product briefings, bi-annual release updates, and industry edition deep-dives to advisory teams, while equipping them with quick-reference guides, evaluation criteria maps, and competitive positioning tools.
  • Pipeline Collaboration & RFP Support: Orchestrate seamless handoffs between selection advisors, internal sales teams (SSDMs, Pre-Sales, Sales), and VAR partners during active deal cycles, while tracking and reporting on advisor-influenced pipeline, win/loss metrics, and deal flow.
  • Feedback & Ecosystem Insights: Capture candid, unfiltered feedback from selection consultants regarding client pain points, evaluation criteria shifts, and competitor strategies (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365), and channel insights back to internal Product Management and Marketing teams to continuously refine Acumatica's market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Technology, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 6–10+ years in enterprise software alliances, partner management, pre-sales engineering, or as an active ERP selection consultant.
  • Demonstrated track record of success working within mid-market or enterprise software solutions, ideally with cloud-based ERP systems.
  • Ecosystem Acumen: Deep understanding of how independent ERP selection processes work, including evaluation scorecards, RFP formats, and the strict boundaries of advisor neutrality.

  • Technical Aptitude: Capable of confidently discussing cloud architecture, API integrations, and core functional workflows without requiring immediate pre-sales engineering support.

  • Relationship Building: Exceptional executive presentation, networking, and influence skills; capable of earning trust with C-suite advisory leaders, practice directors, and principal consultants.

  • Execution & Organization: Strong self-starter capabilities with a data-driven approach to tracking pipeline metrics, deal progression, and portfolio activity.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary, typically 10–20% (for industry conferences, advisor visits, and team meetings).
