Job Description

We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to step into a critical role driving clinical excellence and exceptional patient care across our rapidly growing telehealth services.

As a Team Lead - Doctor Management, you will sit at the heart of our clinic operations. Your focus will be on providing proactive oversight of our doctor cohort, identifying emerging risks, and empowering practitioners to meet the highest clinical, compliance, and service expectations. You will collaborate seamlessly with Scheduling, Nursing, People, Legal & Compliance, and Product & Technology to ensure the delivery of safe, top-tier healthcare.

This is a full-time, Australia-based, fully remote position, working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday AEST/AEDT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor doctor performance across the clinic to ensure high clinical and service standards
  • Analyse performance data including consultation quality, documentation, utilisation and complaints
  • Conduct regular 1:1 performance conversations with doctors, providing coaching and feedback
  • Identify trends or emerging risks and implement improvement actions early
  • Manage doctor related complaints and clinical incidents, reviewing consultations and documentation
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain safe, compliant and efficient telehealth operations
  • Support doctor recruitment, onboarding and capability development
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve clinical quality, service consistency and operational performance

Qualifications

As Team Lead - Doctor Management, you will proactively monitor, manage, and uplift the performance of our doctor cohort using data-driven insights, structured coaching, and timely interventions.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or related field
  • 8+ years' experience in a healthcare environment (Telehealth experience highly regarded)
  • Proven experience managing the quality and service delivery of doctors, including navigating challenging performance conversations.
  • Deep understanding of National Safety and Quality standards and Good Medical Practice, with the ability to critically assess clinical documentation and prescribing patterns.
  • Lead implementation of new processes, standards, and tools
  • Ability to interpret performance dashboards, identify risk patterns, and contribute to metric design.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a track record of driving process implementation, clinical governance, and capability uplift.
